Visiter le Grand Canyon & Hoover Dam en une journée

Si vous me suivez sur les réseaux sociaux, vous savez que cette année, j’ai fait l’impasse sur mon costume d’Halloween pour passer la journée au Grand Canyon. J’ai passé la semaine à Las Vegas pour une conférence (et quelle semaine…!) et j’ai prolongé mon séjour jusqu’au weekend pour enfin visiter cet endroit unique.

NYC Streetstyle – La veste en cuir

La mode à New York est tellement un art en soi, il est rare de rencontrer deux personnes avec la même tenue. Le style si particulier des New Yorkais fait qu’un vêtement n’est jamais porté de la même façon. Les tendances sont religieusement suivies, la preuve dans la rue; mais les New Yorkais y apportent toujours leur petite touche personnelle qui rend leur tenue souvent si singulière. Cependant, comme partout, la New Yorkaise adore les basiques – ces pièces qui reviennent à chaque saison. Aujourd’hui, je veux vous montrer comment les New Yorkaises portent leur veste en cuir.

Fashion in New York is always so particular. It is somehow hard to spot people with the same exact outfit twice. Following the trends is something I do so easily on the streets. And then there are the basic, no need for statement accessories. Those are the pieces that stand out on their own and are easily wearable no matter the outfit. Today, I am talking about the famous leather jacket.

Halloween à New York – Les maisons hantées de l’Upper West Side

On y est! C’est Halloween et les maisons sont bien décorées à New York. Chaque année, j’aime vous montrer différents angles et endroits sous cette fête. Cette fois, je ne suis pas allée bien loin puisque je suis restée dans mon quartier de l’Upper West Side. J’ai arpenté les rues avec mon vélo et appareil photo le weekend dernier à la découverte des maisons décorées.

Here we go guys. Halloween is here and a lot of houses in New York are highly decorated for the occasion. Every year, I love to show you Halloween in NYC on a different angle or neighborhood. Well, this time, I did not go too far as I stayed in my neighborhood: the Upper West Side. Last weekend, I enjoyed a bike ride on the streets with my camera looking for decorated houses.

Visiter TriBeCa à New York – A la découverte de Manhattan

TriBeca, TriBeCa… Je ne pense pas en avoir déjà parlé sur le blog et pourtant c’est un quartier on ne peut plus représentatif de NYC. Visiter TriBeCa à New York, c’est comme plonger dans le “vieux New York” puisque que ce fût l’un des premiers quartiers résidentiels de Manhattan. La preuve en photo dans cet article. C’est un quartier trendy aux prix flamboyants côté immobilier. Comme partout à NYC vous me direz, mais davantage grâce à sa population de célébrités et gros magnats de la finance. Pour pouvoir acheter, je pense que je devrais vendre les organes de toute ma famille et ceux de plusieurs générations à suivre. Bref, hors de prix et surtout hors de question!

I don’t think I ever spoke about TriBeCa on the blog before, which is a miss as this neighborhood is the perfect New York representation. I would even say it embodies the Old New York. It was one of the first residential neighborhoods in Manhattan after all, and its old-fashioned vibe still remains. TriBeCa is one of the trendiest neighborhoods with its apocalyptic real estate prices. Real estate is monstrously high everywhere in NYC you could say. Well, think of TriBeCa as even pricier with its population of financial magnates and celebrities. In order to buy a property there, I would probably have to sell my organs and those of all my family (+ further generations) to be able to afford it. Not a chance!
