Fire Island, une île paradisiaque proche de New York

Il ne m’a pas fallu aller loin pour m’évader de la jungle New Yorkaise. Pas besoin de passeport, ni d’avion. Un voyage en train depuis Penn Station jusqu’à Sayville, puis en bateau ont suffi pour arriver aux Pines à Fire Island. A moins de 3 heures de New York, Fire Island est une île paradisiaque parfaite pour quelques jours de vacances. It did not take me long to escape the madness of New York City. No need for a passport or a flight. It only took a train ride to Sayville and a short boat ride to reach our destination. From Penn Station, NYC, the journey is less than 3 hours to arrive at The Pines in Fire Island. I was immediately charmed by this place and so happy to spend a few days of vacation. You followed my adventures live on my Instagram Story and a lot of you wanted to know more about it. I hope this article will answer your questions and motivate you to put Fire Island on your travel bucket list while visiting New York.

Bushwick Collective Block Party 2017 – NYC Street Art

Le weekend dernier a eu lieu la sixième édition de la Bushwick Collective Block Party à Brooklyn. Ce festival de street art égaye le quartier de Bushwick chaque année avec des peintures en temps réel, concerts et rencontres d’artistes new-yorkais. La bonne humeur était au rendez-vous, et le soleil aussi. J’en ai également profité pour retrouver mon amie blogueuse Viviane de We Love New York, venue passer quelques semaines à New-York. C’était une journée new-yorkaise parfaite.

The sixth edition of the Bushwick Collective Block Party took place last weekend in Brooklyn. This street art fair brightens the now-trendy neighborhood of Bushwick with live mural paintings, concerts and encounters with NYC artists. It is such joyful event and even the sun dared made a brilliant appearance. I also met up with my French blogger friend Viviane (We Love New York). It was a perfect day in New York.

La ballerine géante de Jeff Koons à New York

Une ballerine géante a pris place au coeur de Manhattan ce printemps à New York. Vous en avez sans doute entendu parler. Il s’agit de la Ballerine de Jeff Koons. L’artiste new-yorkais est connu pour ses oeuvres métalliques, plus particulièrement ses animaux en forme de ballon. Il me tardait d’aller rendre visite à cette jolie ballerine au Rockefeller Center.

A gigantic ballerina has set foot in the heart of Manhattan this Spring in New York. I am sure you have heard about it. I am talking about the famous Ballerina by Jeff Koons. The NY artist is notably known for its ballon shaped animals. I could not wait any longer to pay a visit to this ballerina at the Rockefeller Center.

Inspiration New York : “Here is New York”

Un article “Inspiration New York” pour vous présenter un livre que je relis en ce moment. “Here is New York” est un essai écrit par Edwyn B. White en 1948. Ce livre est un plaisir pour tout amoureux de New York. Parce que New York ne s’affectionne pas uniquement visuellement, mais aussi et avant-tout pour son énergie.

I would like to share with you a “New York Inspiration” post today and introduce you to a book I am reading again at the moment. “Here is New York” is an essay written in 1948 by the American novelist Elwyn B. White. Because New York is not only visually enjoyable, its energy is what strikes everybody the most. And words are powerful.
