New York Fashion Week – Les VLOGS

La Fashion Week à New York, c’était mi-février. Une semaine intense qui demande beaucoup de préparation et encore plus de travail une fois les défilés et présentations terminés. Cette année pour lancer mon aventure de Youtubeuse, je vous ai filmé (“vloggué”) mon expérience pendant cette semaine de la mode. Je vous ai amené avec moi dans plusieurs quartiers de Manhattan pour assister et / ou photographier les nouvelles collections des créateurs pour la saison automne/hiver 2017.

New York Fashion Week happened a few weeks ago. It was an intense week with a big amount of work to plan and prepare before kick-off, as well as editing all the photos after the shows. I thought this year would be a good opportunity to also VLOG my experience during Fashion Week and share it on Youtube. These videos are in French but I think you can still enjoy them even if you don’t speak the language. I brought you with me across Manhattan to attend and photograph the collections. You can also see what the trends will be for Fall/Winter 2017.

Milkshake & Premier VLOG New-Yorkais

Je vous l’ai montré en vidéo cette semaine et il était impossible de ne pas vous en parler sur le blog. J’ai enfin testé Black Tap ! Des milkshakes plus gros que les yeux (et le ventre), une ambiance cool à SoHo, un personnel très sympathique, de la bonne musique et des burgers plus que parfaits.

Big and beautiful milkshakes, delicious burgers, a trendy environment in SoHo, a very welcoming staff and great music to top it all. How can you not like it?

Visite de la Statue de la Liberté et Ellis Island à New York

Un séjour à New York ne serait être complet sans la visite sur l’île de la Statue de la Liberté et d’Ellis Island. Que l’on souhaite en savoir plus sur le commencement de New York et ses premières vagues d’immigration ou simplement visiter ces emblèmes de l’histoire américaine, impossible de faire l’impasse sur cette visite. Vous pouvez également profiter d’une vue imprenable de Lower Manhattan jusqu’à Midtown.

La visite d’Ellis Island et de Liberty Island est payante. Vous pouvez simplement acheter le tour pour la journée. Mais si vous visitez New York pour plusieurs jours, il y a des chances que vous souhaitez voir d’autres attractions. Il est donc préférable d’opter pour l’achat d’un pass, comme par exemple: le Big Bus Tours ici, le New York Pass ici, ou le New York City Pass ici.

Visiting New York would not be complete without going to Liberty Island and Ellis Island. Whether you’d like to learn more about the History of New York and its first immigration of waves, or just enjoy the views of these iconic places, it won’t disappoint. From there, you can enjoy views from Lower Manhattan up to Midtown.

There is an entrance fee to visit both islands. You can visit both of them and it includes the ferry rides. However, if you are visiting New York for a few days, I recommend saving money by buying one of the attraction passes such as the Big Bus Tours ici, the New York Pass ici, or the New York City Pass ici.

Cette année à New York, je… Challenges de 2017 à NYC

Le début d’année, c’est toujours la prise de bonnes résolutions. Le mois de janvier touche à sa fin. Non, je ne suis pas si en retard que ça. Plutôt que de vous parler “résolutions”, ce mot voué à l’échec, j’ai eu envie de vous proposer des CHALLENGES! C’est ma septième année à NYC et j’ai encore tellement de choses à voir et à découvrir. Pour me sortir de ma routine new-yorkaise, je vous ai tourné une vidéo ci-dessous, pour vous parler de mes 12 challenges new-yorkais de 2017.

Beginning a new year always implies taking new resolutions. No, I am not too late. January is not over yet. But instead of talking about “resolutions”, ~~this word is a failure in itself~~, I would like to CHALLENGE myself (and maybe you). It is indeed my seventh year living in New York and I still have so much to discover. To switch up my routine, I recorded this video below (in French, sorry) to express my 12 challenges of 2017 in New York City.

Le musée Guggenheim à New York

Une de mes activités pour s’instruire et se protéger du froid hivernal de New York est d’aller faire un tour au musée. Et dans cette ville, il est quasiment impossible de faire l’impasse tant le choix est important. Il y en a pour tout les goûts, tous les âges. Visiter le musée Guggenheim à New York est une expérience hors du commun, tant pour ses expositions que pour son architecture extraordinaire. Conçu par le célèbre architecte américain Frank Lloyd Wright, le Guggenheim offre une structure cylindrique moderne et fascinante. Que l’on commence la visite par le haut ou le bas du musée, la spirale nous propose une manière originale (et ordonnée) de découvrir les oeuvres d’art. Et si vous n’êtes pas branché art, y aller pour admirer son design rendra la visite tout aussi admirable.

One of my favorite activities to educate myself and hide from the cold Winter in NYC is to go to the museum. In a city like New York, the choice is tough. There are so many museums to choose from. Visiting the Guggenheim Museum in New York is an unusual experience. Sure the art exhibitions are always on point. But the building itself is a true masterpiece. Designed by the famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, The Guggenheim is a modern and fascinating cylindrical structure. Whether you choose to start your visit by the bottom or the top floors, the spiral is an original and orderly manner to discover the exhibition. And if art is not really your cup of tea, going to The Guggenheim just to admire the architecture is well worth it.
