Off the Shoulder OOTD in Marrakech

Hello tout le monde,

Je suis bien rentrée à New York après un périple d’un peu plus 2 semaines (oui je sais, à moi aussi ça m’a paru plus long avec tous mes périples – j’ai essayé de vous tenir informés par un maximum de snaps et photos).

J’ai eu la plaisir, la chance, l’honneur de me rendre à Marrakech pour quelques jours de vacances après mon déplacement pro à Paris. La parfaite excuse pour aller shopper des tenues d’été et réaliser même un petit DYI le jour du départ (les petits pompoms sur mes sandales).

After over two weeks abroad, I am back home in New York City. It seems like I was out for longer as I did a lot (can’t stop, won’t stop) and saw so many people and places in such a short time.

I had the chance to visit Marrakech for the first time for a few days after my business trip to Paris. It was the perfect excuse to shop around for Summer clothes as well as improvise a quick DIY project (see the pompoms on my Old Navy sandals).

Visiter le Grand Canyon & Hoover Dam en une journée

Si vous me suivez sur les réseaux sociaux, vous savez que cette année, j’ai fait l’impasse sur mon costume d’Halloween pour passer la journée au Grand Canyon. J’ai passé la semaine à Las Vegas pour une conférence (et quelle semaine…!) et j’ai prolongé mon séjour jusqu’au weekend pour enfin visiter cet endroit unique.

Instagram & other stories: September 2015

Depuis que je vis à New York, Septembre est devenu mon mois préféré de l’année. Le temps parfait de l’été indien, l’accueil imminent de l’automne, le retour des copains copines après les vacances. Alors pourquoi donc ai-je passé 3 semaines à l’étranger me direz-vous? Parce que je savais que cette année, je profiterais tout autant de septembre en France.

Un planning chargé au maximum pour revoir la famille et ami(e)s en cinq semaines à cheval entre août et septembre: le Nord de la France, le Sud-Ouest, la Côte d’Azur et aussi les Cinq Terres en Italie (il faudra d’ailleurs que je vous fasse un article sur ce lieu formidable). Bref, trois semaines de septembre en Europe à vadrouiller par-ci, par-là, à me gaver de fromages, jambon, chocolats et friandises en tout genre; et à déguster tout vin et apéro autour d’une tablée joyeuse. Certes cette année, septembre était majoritairement européen, mais il a dépassé toutes mes attentes.

J’avoue également que le retour à New York était nécessaire pour reprendre un rythme plus reposant et accueillir quelques amis à la maison (dont ma chère Viviane du blog We-Love-New-York). Certes la chaleur s’est vite faite chasser par Joaquin The Hurricane, mais il me tarde de commencer Octobre comme il se doit avec la cueillette des pommes et potirons. A suivre donc…

Since I moved to New York, September has become my favorite month of the year. The perfect Indian Summer weather, the imminent arrival of Fall, friends are back from their vacations… So why did I spend most of my September out of the States would you ask? Well, I knew that even in France, I would have a lovely time, too.

I spent a total of 5 weeks abroad with a full agenda to visit as many friends and family members as possible. I moved around quite a lot between the North of France, the South West, the French Riviera and a getaway in Cinque Terre, Italy (I should prepare an article about that last place to show you how magnificent it is). Those were three weeks of September where I drove across the country and ate lots of cheese, ham, chocolates and French pastries, as well as enjoyed a variety of wine and champagne in great company.

I admit that after my longest time out of NYC in the last 5 years, I was eager to be back and welcome a couple of friends at home (among them my dear Viviane from the blog We-Love-New-York). Unfortunately, the heat seems to have gone a little earlier than expected, hunted by Hurricane Joaquin. But I cannot wait to welcome Fall properly by going apple and pumpkin picking soon. Stay tuned…

Hello tout le monde,

J’ai peine à croire que le mois de septembre commence déjà. L’été semble être passé à toute vitesse mais c’est sans doute le prix à payer quand on s’amuse trop. Un petit article aujourd’hui pour vous donner des nouvelles et aussi apporter un peu de paroles à toutes ces photos postées pendant l’été. Un été new-yorkais, et aussi californien et français; je n’ai pas trop à m’en plaindre car comme vous le savez déjà, j’adore voyager!

J’ai commencé le mois de juillet avec quelques jours de vacances et un road trip en Californie du Sud entre San Diego, Newport Beach en passant par Catalina Island, et Los Angeles. Un voyage découverte absolument enrichissant et revitalisant dont je vous ai parlé plus en détail dans les articles précédents. Ce voyage a également été l’occasion de vous faire part de quelques tenues d’été (ici, ici, et ici). Mais surtout, je me suis enfin lancée dans le monde merveilleux des VLOGS. Moi, qui suis beaucoup plus à l’aise derrière la caméra, je n’y ai pas fait la maligne devant! Enfin cela semble vous plaire ces petits compte-rendus vidéo (le VLOG San Diego ici et le VLOG Catalina ici). Je peux d’ailleurs vous en monter un sur mon passage à LA si cela vous tente. Qu’en pensez-vous?

Hi everyone,

I can’t believe September is here. It seems like Summer went as fast as a dream, but that is probably the price to pay when you have way too much fun! Today’s blogpost is to put some words on all the pictures I published this Summer and provide you some details on my travels. Within two months, I had a NY Summer, a Californian one and a French one. I can’t complain as you know how traveling is one of my favorite things.

I started July with a few days off and a road trip in Southern California between San Diego, Newport Beach to Catalina Island, and all the way up to Los Angeles. An amazing discovery trip that I already talked about in my previous articles (I still have to show you LA). This trip was also perfect to share with you some of my favorite Summer looks (here, here and here). Further more, I took the opportunity to jump into the VLOGGING world. For now, they are in French but if you fast forward a bit you can see the videos of the places I visited. Watch the VLOG on San Diego here, and the video of Catalina Island here. Topshop Style – Summer outfit 2015 – Fashion Blog

Dernier volet de ma visite à Catalina Island en Californie avec ce look idéal pour les vacances. Si vous avez vu mon vlog de la semaine dernière (et j’espère que vous avez pu y jeter un oeil ici), vous en avez eu un petit aperçu. J’ai trouvé cette robe d’été chez Topshop avant mon départ en vacances. J’adore le motif qui me transporte directement sur une île. Porter une robe, il n’y a pas plus simple. Je l’ai accessoirisée avec une petite ceinture vintage et quelques bijoux.

Cette robe était vraiment pratique pour visiter l’île Catalina, me balader dans ses petites rues étroites, manger une grosse glace et même l’enlever facilement pour un petit saut dans la mer turquoise. Ceci est un look presque totalement Topshop puisque j’y ai trouvé ces sandales en même temps. Je les ai portées chaque jour comme vous avez pu vous en rendre compte dans mes deux derniers articles mode (ici et ici), et je continue plusieurs fois par semaine. Ces chaussures se marient avec tous mes ensembles, elles sont tellement comfortables. Et le comfort, c’est la priorité numéro 1 en vacances.

Qu’en pensez-vous? Portez-vous également des robes à imprimés?

This is the last article on my visit to Catalina Island, and I thought I would close the chapter with a hint of Summer style. You had a glimpse at my look if you watched my VLOG last week (I hope you did. If not, you can find it here). I found this Summer dress at Topshop before packing up for my vacation and I was instantly attracted by the flower print. I thought it would be ideal to wear it on an island. Wearing a dress is so easy. I kept it simple by accessorizing with a thin vintage belt and some pieces of jewelry.

This dress was the perfect outfit to visit Catalina Island, walk around its narrow streets, eat an enormous ice cream, and even quickly take it off to jump in the sea. This is almost a total Topshop look as I found these shoes at the same time. You saw it in my 2 last Fashion posts (here and here), I wore them every day and I still tend to do so whenever I can in the city. These sandals work with any outfit; they are so comfortable. And comfort is a number 1 priority while on holiday.
