L’une de mes activités préférées pendant l’été, c’est de prendre un livre et d’aller me prélasser dans l’herbe ou sur un banc à Central Park. Aucune excuse pour ne pas prendre le temps de s’arrêter et de profiter d’un bon livre. Aujourd’hui, j’ai eu envie de partager avec vous mes lectures de l’été.

One of my favorite things to do in the Summer is to take a book and head to Central Park. Laying on the grass or sitting in one of the benches, Central Park is the place where I enjoy taking my time to read. Today, I would like to share a list of my Summer Readings.
J’ai acheté ces livres cet hiver et je n’ai pas encore terminé la majorité d’entre eux. Si vous me suivez sur Snapchat, vous avez pu voir que je suis en pleine lecture le soir du roman historique New York par Edward Rutherfurd depuis quelques temps. Un livre dont je dévore chacune des pages et qui raconte New York depuis ses débuts. J’en suis aux années 1930, bientôt à la fin de ce roman de 860 pages. Diana Vreeland Memos est un livre qu’on m’a offert, parfait pour égayer la table du salon. J’adore feuilleter les petits mémos de cette grande dame de la mode. Il m’était impossible de passer à côté du Love x Style x Life de Garance Doré puisque je la suis depuis ses débuts bloguesques. Just Kids par Patti Smith me fascine également par le lifestyle rock du New York d’il y a quelques décennies. Quant au livre d’Emma Straub, je suis en retard sur la frénésie du livre The Vacationers, cette année tout le monde dévore son dernier roman, Modern Lovers.

I bought all of these books below during the Winter and I haven’t finished any of them. If you follow me on Snapchat, you know that I usually go to bed with the historic novel New York by Edward Rutherfurd. I am enjoying every 860 pages of this book who gives us insight on the city since its beginning. I am now in the 1930’s. Almost done! Diana Vreeland Memos was offered to me and it is perfect to brighten up my coffee table. I love reading all the memos of this iconic Lady of Fashion. It was unthinkable for me not to purchase the first book of Garance Doré as I followed her blogging adventures since its beginning. Just Kids by Patti Smith is another book taking place in New York and I am fond of its rock universe. As for The Vacationers by Emma Straub, I am one year late on the frenzy as everyone has already moved on to her latest book, Modern Lovers.
