Plaid & Pastel outfit – Topshop Style NYC Fashion

Laissez-moi vous présenter ma tenue d’automne préférée dans un de mes endroits favoris à New York. Je veux, bien entendu, parler de mon manteau rose et de mon haut imprimé tartan, tous les deux de chez Topshop. Ces photos streetstyle ont été prises dans le paradis de Manhattan : Central Park.

Let me introduce you to one of my favorite pieces of clothing this fall in one of my favorite places. It’s my perfect street style outfit to walk around in New York. I am talking about my pink coat and plaid shirt, both from Topshop. And, these pictures were taken in the heaven of Manhattan: Central Park.

J’adore Central Park à toutes les saisons, mais quand vient l’automne et que le parc s’habille de ses couleurs orange et marron, mon cœur fait BaBaBoom et j’y passe encore plus de temps. Cette année, j’ai voulu l’associer à mon ensemble favori.

Je fais mon shopping chez Topshop en Angleterre depuis mon adolescence. La première fois que j’ai découvert le magasin à Manhattan il y a 4 ans, j’ai su que je pouvais emménager. J’y ai acheté mon premier manteau, et je lui fais confiance à nouveau pour ajouter cette touche de style à mon manteau de saison cette année. Les gens de la Mode qui déclarent que porter du rose est un fashion faux-pas, n’ont clairement pas rencontré cette petite merveille. J’adore le pastel, surtout le rose façon jambon de Paris. Oui, « mon petit jambon de Paris » est le nom que j’ai donné à ce manteau. Naturellement, je suis dingue et la France me manque (so, what ?), et non, il ne sent rien d’autre que mon Flowerbomb de Viktor & Rolf (le petit blagueur, tu sors).

Passons maintenant au tartan; The Plaid. J’adore cet imprimé si vieillot mais si stylé qui donne à ma tenue un air so-oh British, et qui me transporte immédiatement à London, Baby (manque plus que je prenne l’accent, tiens). Je l’adore ce petit haut. J’adore sa coupe, un peu façon “crop-top” (comme on dit par ici), qui révèle le nombril à chaque levée de bras, mais qui fait-ça en fait ?! Et il va parfaitement avec mon petit jambon de Paris, vous ne trouvez-pas ? Cette tenue est ma tenue préférée de l’automne, un streetstyle de saison parfait pour errer dans les rues et parcs de New York.

I love Central park every season, and in the Fall, the park transforms into that wonderful painting full of orange and brown colors. It’s picture perfect, and this year, I wanted to be captured with the pretty landscape.

Topshop has been one place I shop since my teenage years in England. Finding it in New York 4 years ago was delightful. I bought my first coat there, and this year I trusted them again to add that sense of style to my outerwear. People in Fashion who claim it’s a faux-pas to wear pink, certainly didn’t meet this coat. I love trading my black coat for a pastel one. It makes me happy as a “jambon de Paris” (“ham in Paris”). OK, this makes no sense at all to you, but it rhymes. Jambon de Paris is a famous French ham, of a pretty pink color. For some reason, this coat reminds me of just that, so I named it “mon petit jambon de Paris”. (Now you know I am borderline crazy sometimes, but I assume all the responsibilities).

Let’s talk about Plaid, another big trend this season that I keep seeing on all Fashionistas and store racks across the city. I love it. It just adds that British, old-fashioned style to my look and transports me right off to London. The cut is just perfect: almost cropped (certainly is when I raised my arms, but who does that anyway?). And as it goes well with my jambon de Paris, this is definitely my favorite street style outfit of the season to roam around the streets of New York.

Le blanc et les couleurs en automne et en hiver, je suis fan, ça réchauffe, remonte le moral et apporte de la lumière quand il fait gris. Alors ton manteau “jambon de Paris”, je dis OUI ! 😉
