Cet été fut placé sous le signe du voyage. Tout d’abord avec la découverte de la Californie du Sud lors d’un road trip suivie de plusieurs semaines à travers la France accompagnées d’une escapade en Italie. Quand je rentre dans mon pays d’adoption pour y retrouver la famille et les amis (le vin et pâtisseries), j’aime planifier quelques sorties là où je ne suis jamais allée auparavant. Sur ces photos, j’ai découvert la jolie commune de Cassis, son port et ses célèbres calanques.

I am saying goodbye to a Summer full of travels this year. First, there was my road trip in Southern California, followed by several weeks across France, then a quick getaway to Italy. Every time I go back to my native country to reunite with friends and family, I always plan some day trips to places I have never been to before. In these photos, you can see me wandering through Cassis in the South of France and its famous creeks (named ‘Calanques’ in French).
J’ai opté pour un style vacancier, confortable à porter pour une balade en mer. J’ai craqué pour l’aisance de cette robe et sa couleur vert d’eau qui contraste joliment avec le ciel et la mer. Mais dans cet article je vais plutôt vous parler de montres originales.
Connaissez-vous les montres JORD? J’ai été contacté il y a quelques semaines par leur équipe pour découvrir leur collection. Leurs particularités? Ce sont des montres en bois, un matériel minimaliste et élégant tout comme leurs designs, j’ai tout de suite été séduite par le concept. Des modèles homme et femme avec un mécanisme de pointe, j’ai opté pour le modèle Cora aux couleurs Maple et Silver. Il m’est souvent difficile de trouver un design de montre original qui épouse mon petit poignet (personne n’est parfait) sans l’alourdir. Au premier essayage de la montre, je l’ai tout de suite adoptée et elle ne m’a quasiment plus quitté depuis. A la rencontre de famille et amis, cette montre a eu un franc succès tant par son originalité que par sa forme; on a bien tenté de me la dérober à plusieurs reprises (Géraldine, Eliot, Maryse, Jimmy, Maman, oui je parle de vous!).

For my visit, I selected an easy breezy dress, comfortable to wear. I have to say: I love the contrast it creates between the bright green color of the dress against the beautiful colors of the sky and the sea. But the purpose of this article is primarily focused on original watches.
Do you know the JORD brand? They contacted me a few weeks ago to discover and review one of their watches. Their particularity? JORD watches are made out of sustainable wood. With their minimalist and elegant design, I was seduced and intrigued by the concept. I selected the Cora Watch with Maple and Silver colors, which is the one I am wearing on these pictures (and ever since, to be honest). I usually have a lot of trouble finding a watch that fits both my taste and my small wrist size and I was happy to see how this wooden watch marries perfectly with my wrist. It is also very light, which is a big plus! Ever since I tried it on, this watch has been accompanying me through the rest of my travels and even now that I am back in New York and at the office. This JORD wooden watch has had a lot of interest from my friends and family, and some them even tried to sneak it off of my wrist (Géraldine, Eliot, Maryse, Jimmy, Mom… You know what you tried to do!)
