I can surely declare that this season, printed patterns took over the dominant solid black typically present at Fashion Week. There were prints on so many people running to shows that it was a festival of forms and colors at the Lincoln Center this September. Whether it was animal prints or geometrical prints, two color prints or more color prints, you could see printed designs everywhere: on dresses, pants, shorts, skirts, hats… Fashionistas mixed them with a plain piece of clothing or just wore the same pattern from top to bottom for a total look. Bold people even mixed different prints and wore them together. Oh man, you gotta love those prints!
And to those marketing people out there, the belief that “the more you see it, the more you want it” is totally true! As a “one color per piece of clothing” kind of girl, I used to find prints interesting. Then I started to like them. And after seeing them everywhere recently, I adore them. I want them. I need them! Give me some PRINTS now!
I took a lot of pictures this week, so get ready to see a couple of printed posts in the next few days!
