New York Fashion Week : All the pretty coats #2

Voici le dernier volet de ma sélection de manteaux repérés pendant la Fashion Week de New York. Quand j’y suis le temps passe trop vite, l’excitation me dévore, je prends beaucoup de photos, et une fois avoir terminé de les sélectionner-éditer-publier, la Fashion Week a mis les voiles. Londres est la chanceuse de la semaine et j’aimerai beaucoup y être pour palper l’énergie British. Mais bon, j’imagine que prendre le street style en photo dans une ville comme New York ne se démodera jamais. Bon lundi tout le monde!

Here is the end of my selection of the pretty coats I spotted during New York Fashion Week. When I am there it goes so fast, I get so excited, I take so many pictures, and by the time I finish selecting-editing-publishing them, Fashion Week has long gone. London is the lucky winner this week and I would have loved to go to feel the British energy. Oh well, I guess shooting street style pictures in a city like New York never gets old anyway. New York Fashion Week: All the pretty coats #1

Les manteaux les plus jolis et excentriques étaient partout pendant la Fashion Week de New York. Certaines personnes ont porté des pièces toutes plus créatives que les autres pour se rendre aux défilés. Qu’il soit uni ou à motifs, fluo ou sombre, le manteau était la star du Lincoln Center. Nicky Hilton a opté pour un imprimé léopard, Anna Dello Russo a préféré un imprimé à la Disney de chez Fendi , Blair du blog Atlantic-Pacific a arboré son Acne vert fluo, le Prada blanc à fleurs rouges a été très populaire, et pour finir le manteau à fourrure a semblé la meilleur option pour être au chaud. Voici un premier jet de ma sélection.

Let’s face it: as a mandatory winter piece, coats were everywhere during NYFW. People wore some creative pieces this season to go to the show. Plain or print, neon or dark, coats were the star of the Lincoln Center. Nicky Hilton chose the leopard print, Anna Dello Russo went with a comic print from Fendi, Blair from Atlantic-Pacific wore her Acne neon green coat, the white Prada coat with red flowers was very popular, and last but not least, the fur coat was the best option to stay warm. Here is a first shot of my selection.

New York Fashion Week: random streetstyle

New York Fashion Week est presque terminée, et je suis assez contente de ce que j’ai pu apercevoir dans la rue. Les gens ont bravé le froid / la tempête / la neige et nous ont stupéfiés avec leurs meilleurs looks. Fashion Week a cette atmosphère très singulière où le style est roi et l’excitation est dans le cœur de toutes les personnes assistant aux défilés et les photographes. Avec ce sentiment unique qui flotte dans l’air, il est difficile de dire au revoir. Aujourd’hui est mon dernier jour à la chasse du style. C’est aussi le dernier jour des défilés dans les tentes du Lincoln Center. Bon, ne soyons pas tristes tout de suite et profitons de quelques photos de streetstyle.

New York Fashion Week is almost over and I am quite happy with the outfits I spotted on the streets. People braved the cold / the storm / the snow and enlightened us with their best looks. Fashion Week has this very singular atmosphere where style shines and excitation is in all showgoers and street photographers’ heart. There is a unique emotion floating in the air and it is always hard to say goodbye. Today will be my last day roaming around and hunting for style. It is also the last day of shows in the tents of the Lincoln Center. Oh well, let’s not get too sad yet and enjoy some random streetstyle pictures.

New York Fashion Week : a touch of color

Pour les New-Yorkais, l’hiver n’est pas une raison pour ne porter que le noir. Cette saison, la Fashion Week de New-York subit neige et blizzard mais ce n’est pas une assez bonne raison pour ne pas s’habiller gaiement (et légèrement parfois). Beaucoup en profitent pour porter des couleurs vibrantes pour se revigorer le look et l’esprit. Bien sûr ça marche et c’est juste magnifique!

If you thought New Yorkers fought the cold only in black, think again (or look again!). This season, Fashion Week has been challenged with snow and blizzard in New York but it was not a reason for people not to shine. Some of them are wearing vibrant colors to cheer up their look and their mood. Of course it works! Keep dressing up people, you look beautiful !

New York Fashion Week: a touch of Fur!

Salut New York City, voici venu le moment tant attendu de la Fashion Week. On dit que février est le mois le plus déprimant de l’année. L’hiver a été long, les fêtes sont passées depuis belle lurette et ça gèle sévère dehors. Oui, c’est plutôt déprimant. Enfin, c’est ce que je ressentais avant. Avant que je découvre la magie de la Fashion Week et toute l’excitation qu’elle procure dans la ville. J’ai été assez chanceuse pour arriver avant la neige jeudi, et je peux vous affirmer que : Oui, il fait un froid de gueux mais rien ne vaut de beaux vêtements portés par de jolies inconnues au large sourire pour vous réchauffer ! Quant à comment font les New Yorkais pour combattre le froid avec style ? C’est facile : fourrure, fourrure, fourrure !Ils sortent leur plus belles pièces en fourrure. Regardez, ce que j’ai vu.

Hello New York City, it’s that time of the year again! It is said that February is the most depressing month of the year. The winter has been on forever, the holidays are far behind and it’s freezing outside. Well, I think it is pretty depressing too, but this was what I felt before: before I discovered the magic of Fashion Week and all the excitement around it in the city. I had the chance to hit the streets before the arrival of the snow on Thursday, and let me tell you that: Yes it is freakin’ cold but there is nothing like a chic outfit worn by a pretty person with a big smile to warm you up, people! If you are wondering how New Yorkers fight the cold without losing their style, it’s easy: fur, fur, fur! They wear their best pieces of fur. Here is what I caught.
