Bye Bye Summer

La saison estivale se clôture à New York, un timing parfait pour partager avec vous mon dernier look d’été de l’année sur le blog. Vous l’avez vu ici et ici, je me suis mise aux fleurs. Je ne sais pas ce que les looks d’automne réserveront mais dans une période de changement, il fait également bon de changer de garde-robe (ai-je vraiment besoin d’une excuse pour ça?…). Encore un look super comfortable à porter et avec une robe à petit prix.

Summer season is coming to an end in New York. Which is the perfect timing to share with you my last Summer look of 2017 on the blog. As you have already noticed here and here, this past season was all about florals for me. I don’t know what my Fall looks will be yet. But with this period of change in my life, a change of wardrobe was also very welcomed. (Do I really need an excuse to do so, though?…) Here is another comfy and super affordable look to roam around the streets of Manhattan.

Florals in the City

L’été à New York a été des plus agréables cette année sans monter dans des températures extrêmes. En ce moment, je profite de l’été indien pour prolonger mon Summer Style et continuer à porter des tenues légères. J’ai trouvé cette robe chez Urban Outfitters il y a quelques semaines (elle est toujours disponible ici). J’ai tout de suite craqué!

This Summer in New York has been such a delight. For once, it was breathable and acceptable to step outside without melting within seconds. Summer days might be over, temperatures are still high enough to keep wearing my favorite light pieces. I found this floral dress at Urban Outfitters a few weeks ago. It is still available here.

Collaboration with iDeal of Sweden

C’est la rentrée sur le blog. J’ai un peu délaissé les articles depuis quelques semaines pour mieux pouvoir revenir. Non pas que j’ai eu l’occasion de prendre quelques vacances… Au contraire, d’importantes décisions ont dû être prises, les projets professionels s’enchaînent et le rythme a été soutenu ces deux derniers mois. Pour moi, New York Fashion Week sonne l’heure de la rentrée, de la fin de l’été et du changement de saison. J’adore vivre le mois de Septembre à New York.

It is back to school week but more importantly back on the blog for me. I’ve been a tiny bit M.I.A. these past couple of weeks. But I’m glad to pick up where I left off. Not that I had the luxury to take a vacation. Far from it to be honest… My life has been turned upside down, important decisions were forced to be made and professional projects have been lining up. Let’s just say it’s been an eventful Summer. Now that September is finally here, I am so excited for New York Fashion Week and all its glory.

Red & Floral – My Summer Look

Porter du rouge ou des fleurs n’ont jamais vraiment été des options dans mon style vestimentaire. Ne jamais dire jamais, puisqu’ici je combine les deux! Avec la chaleur étouffante des jours d’été à New York, je cherche toujours à m’habiller avec les matières les plus légères possibles. J’ai choisi cette combinaison florale sur le site Romwe.com et je la mets à répétition depuis début juillet dernier. (Oui, c’était aussi ma tenue pour l’Independence Day). J’aime la porter avec des sandales compensées pour un look féminin, ou simplement avec des espadrilles pour me balader à Central Park.

I’ve never been willing to wear florals, or the color red for that matter. Yet, here I am combining both with this outfit. With this Summer heat, I’m drawn to wearing the lightest fabrics of them all. I chose this romper on Romwe.com and it has been one of my most comfortable pieces to rock this Summer. I usually pair it with wedges for a date night or with flat sandals for a more relaxed look and take a stroll in Central park.

Fire Island, une île paradisiaque proche de New York

Il ne m’a pas fallu aller loin pour m’évader de la jungle New Yorkaise. Pas besoin de passeport, ni d’avion. Un voyage en train depuis Penn Station jusqu’à Sayville, puis en bateau ont suffi pour arriver aux Pines à Fire Island. A moins de 3 heures de New York, Fire Island est une île paradisiaque parfaite pour quelques jours de vacances. Vous avez suivi mes aventures en direct sur ma Story Instagram et vous avez été nombreux à vouloir en savoir plus. It did not take me long to escape the madness of New York City. No need for a passport or a flight. It only took a train ride to Sayville and a short boat ride to reach our destination. From Penn Station, NYC, the journey is less than 3 hours to arrive at The Pines in Fire Island. I was immediately charmed by this place and so happy to spend a few days of vacation. You followed my adventures live on my Instagram Story and a lot of you wanted to know more about it.
